My doctor is already helping me. Why would I need Oritov?
Your doctor focuses on treating your cancer. Oritov’s role is different — we work directly with your medical team to provide additional biological information and educational resources that may support more informed discussions about your care. Your medical team continues to lead every clinical decision. Our role is to complement the care you already receive.
Is Oritov a clinic or a hospital?
No. Oritov is a precision oncology education and patient navigation service. We do not diagnose, treat, or manage cancer. All clinical decisions remain with your medical team. Our role is to educate, navigate, and coordinate access to clinician-directed testing pathways on your behalf.
How is Oritov different from searching for information online?
Online information is generic. Oritov provides access to clinician-directed liquid biopsy testing that analyses your specific cancer cells — which may provide your medical team with additional biological information based on your own cancer cells, rather than population averages. We also provide structured educational resources and personal navigation support throughout the process.
Do I need a referral from my doctor to work with Oritov?
You do not need a referral to speak with our team or access our educational resources. However all liquid biopsy testing coordinated through Oritov is clinician-directed — meaning a registered medical professional must be involved in ordering any test. We can help facilitate that conversation with your existing doctor.
Is Oritov only for cancer patients?
Oritov primarily supports patients who have received a cancer diagnosis and their families. We work directly with your medical team to provide additional biological information and educational support throughout your cancer journey. If you are unsure whether Oritov is relevant to your situation — speak with our team and we will help you understand whether our educational services may be appropriate for your situation.
